Scottish Caramel
Pu-erh is not your everyday tea. Unlike other black teas, these leaves undergo a deliberate fermentation process after rolling and drying — a tradition that gives the tea a rich, deep, almost earthy complexity that stands entirely in a class of its own. It's the kind of base that demands an equally bold companion, and caramel and toffee are exactly that. Burnt sugar sweetness, a hint of almond, and that brooding, ancient earthiness of pu-erh come together in a harmony that feels less like a flavoured tea and more like the best dessert you never had to bake. Dark, indulgent, and surprisingly sophisticated. The perfect ending to a good meal — or a very good day.

How to make the perfect cup
Add one scoop
One heaping teaspoon per cup, straight into your infuser.
Pour just-off-boil water
Around 95°C. Let the kettle settle a few seconds after it clicks off.
Steep 4 minutes
Let it open up, then drink. For a stronger taste, let it steep for up to 5 minutes.
Why loose leaf tastes better
A tea bag holds the dust left over after the good pieces are sorted out. Loose leaf is the whole fruit and leaf, with room to open up in the water. Is there sugar or artificial sweetener in the natural flavours?
No. There's no added sugar and no artificial sweeteners or flavours in any of our blends. The sweetness you taste comes from real ingredients like dried fruit, berries and flower petals, and any natural flavours are just that: natural. Every blend is 100% organic, so what's in the bag is what you taste.
How much tea is in a pack, and how do I brew it?
Mini makes 3 cups, Small about 15 cups, Regular about 40 cups.
New to loose leaf? It's easy. For a cup, use one teaspoon. Pour water just off the boil (around 95°C), steep 2 to 5 minutes, then lift out the leaves.
You'll need something to hold the leaves while they steep. We sell paper tea filters, ball infusers and infusers that sit right in your mug.
