Loose leaf tea - 100% organic

Peppermint

A bold claim — but one sip and you'll agree. This isn't the thin, barely-there peppermint that passes for herbal tea in most grocery aisles. This is peppermint that means it. The moment the water hits the leaves, the whole room knows about it — cool, fresh, and intensely aromatic, with a clean menthol character that lingers long after the cup is empty. Caffeine-free and naturally soothing, it's the perfect after-dinner tea, the ideal remedy for a foggy head, and the most refreshing thing you can drink on a warm day. Peppermint tea has one job. This one does it better than any other we've found.

Ingredients: Peppermint.

I love all The Newfoundland Tea Company teas but the Peppermint tea is my all time favourite, it just soothes the soul. Drop by their quaint little shop or order on-line, you won't be disappointed.

I have been drinking this peppermint tea almost every night, for over 4 months, before bedtime. It is very good, especially with a teaspoon of maple syrup added

By far the best peppermint tea I have ever tasted. Only 1 tsp required. Amazing. Will definitely be purchasing again.

How to make the perfect cup

1

Add one scoop

One heaping teaspoon per cup, straight into your infuser.

2

Pour just-off-boil water

Around 95°C. Let the kettle settle a few seconds after it clicks off.

3

Steep 3 minutes

Let it open up, then drink. For a stronger taste, let it steep for up to 5 minutes.

Why loose leaf tastes better

A tea bag holds the dust left over after the good pieces are sorted out. Loose leaf is the whole fruit and leaf, with room to open up in the water. Then there's how it's put together: Nicole ran kitchens in Gambo and Gander for twenty years, and every blend is built by taste, the way a chef builds a dish, sampled and refined at our table until it's right.

Questions we get asked

Is there sugar or artificial sweetener in the natural flavours?

No. There's no added sugar and no artificial sweeteners or flavours in any of our blends. The sweetness you taste comes from real ingredients like dried fruit, berries and flower petals, and any natural flavours are just that: natural. Every blend is 100% organic, so what's in the bag is what you taste.

How much tea is in a pack, and how do I brew it?

Mini makes 3 cups, Small about 15 cups, Regular about 40 cups.

New to loose leaf? It's easy. For a cup, use one teaspoon. Pour water just off the boil (around 95°C), steep 2 to 5 minutes, then lift out the leaves.

You'll need something to hold the leaves while they steep. We sell paper tea filters, ball infusers and infusers that sit right in your mug.

Where can I buy your tea near me?
